About Retro Bollywood AI photo prompts
These retro Bollywood AI photo prompts take your photo back a few decades: a 1980s film still with grain and soft colour, a 70s Bombay street with a black-and-yellow taxi, a 90s romance shot, or a vintage couple portrait. Each look shows the original photo beside the result.
The vintage Bollywood saree look was one of the big AI photo trends of 2025, and the 80s and 90s looks keep coming back. They suit birthday throwbacks, anniversary posts and anyone who loves old Hindi films.
The style lives in the details: film grain, faded colour, big hair, chiffon and polka dots. Keep those words in the prompt for the strongest period feel.

Tips for a better result
- A clear, front-facing photo keeps your face while the prompt changes hair, makeup and clothes to the decade.
- For couple looks, one photo of the two of you together gives a more film-like pose.
- If you edit a prompt, name the decade you want ('1970s', '1990s'): it changes the hair, the clothes and the colour.
